What’s In My Purse (Winter Edition)

What's In My Purse

Before I show you what’s in my purse, I’d like to start off by stating that I absolutely LOVE my Freshly Picked Convertible Diaper Backpack!! I’ve had other backpacks in the past, but none were as stylish or mom-friendly as this one! I’ll get into that in a minute though…

Honestly, before I purchased it, I wasn’t quite sure I even needed it. My kids are getting older (4 and 2.5 years-old) and I’m finally starting to move out of the diaper bag phase. But, the truth of the matter is, it’s practical! My kids still have a lot of stuff, and I’m constantly carrying the little one on my hip and something else with my spare arm, so I needed someplace, like my back, to carry my bag. This is a backpack, shoulder bag, AND crossbody all-in-one! Major selling point for me! I’ve even worn it out on the town as a crossbody for date night and gals night! Often, I reach for the grab-and-go top handle too!

What I love most is that there is ample room to fit everything I need within the spacious center and TEN pockets!! Here’s a roundup of what’s inside my purse this winter…

EXTERIOR POCKET

Wallet

Kate Spade Jackson Small Tab Leather Crossbody Bag – A wallet with a crossbody strap! I keep the strap on it at all times so that if I’m running into a place that I only need a wallet, I’ll just grab this and wear it as a crossbody!

SLIP POCKETS

Keys with Tile

Have you tried Tile yet? It’s amazing! I got a 4 pack for our stockings for Christmas. With it, you can find your keys, phone, wallet, etc. anytime, anywhere. Ask Alexa to find your item, use your phone to track it, or if you’re looking for your phone, double tap the Tile to ring your phone!

Sunglasses

Quay is my favorite brand of sunglasses because they’re high-end quality sunglasses that are affordable! You seriously can’t beat the $25-$60 price point. The ones I own and that are pictured here are the Kingsleys that I got at Nordstrom Rack for $25, but I’ve linked a similar pair here. I don’t mind if they get banged up, knocked around, or even lost. My Vivienne Aviator Quays I got for free in a FabFitFun box last summer!

Miscellaneous items

Contigo Kids Autospout are my tried and true favorite water bottles because they’ve NEVER leaked on us!

Philips Avent – Both my kids love(d) this particular brand of “binkies”!

DIAPERING POCKET

Diapers + Baby Wipes

DYPER – Did you know that I’m a DYPER ambassador? I really need to dedicate a whole post to this, but these bamboo diapers are better for the planet, your baby, you, and your wallet! DYPERs are free of chlorine, latex, alcohol, perfumes, PVC, lotions, phthalates, inks and dyes. {Blog post to come! For now, check out my bamboo diapering highlight on my Instagram page for more info!}

Diaper Rash Cream

Seedlings Diaper Rash Cream – Been using this since Mae was an infant and it works just as good, if not better than Extra Strength Desitin to help relieve, treat, and prevent diaper rash. Made with 100% naturally derived ingredients and non-nano zinc oxide. It’s mild formula was developed for infant’s delicate skin.

Nylon changing pad (included with bag)

EXTRA LARGE CAPACITY CENTER

The extra large capacity center can fit anything from a laptop, tablets, change of clothes, makeup bag, book, etc.

BACK POCKET

Our mailbox is down at the street, so in between the house and the mailbox, I’ll stuff incoming or outgoing mail in here.

INSULATED BOTTLE POCKET

What a neat feature! My kids have outgrown bottles, but there is an insulated bottle pocket inside the bag!

What's In My Purse

THE REST OF THE POCKETS…

Items for Cleanliness

Thieves Spray & Thieves Wipes – Naturally derived, plant-based ingredients that quickly clean and freshen surfaces. I use these to clean down shopping carts, etc.

Thieves Hand Sanitizer: Kills 99.99% of germs on contact! Enhanced with aloe and natural peppermint essential oil to cleanse and purify hands. It smells amazing!

Items for Health + Wellness

Thieves Roll-On – We roll this down our spines every morning to keep our immune systems above the wellness line! We usually do this while brushing teeth so we don’t forget, but if we do, I keep back-up in my purse!

Thieves Cough Drops: Thieves and menthol in a cough drop! What I love most is that they are without processed sugar, dyes, artificial flavors, or preservatives.

Peace and Calming Roll-On – for “on-the-go” toddler tantrums! I love to keep this as back-up in my purse if we’re out in public and one of the kids decides to start having a meltdown. Then, I use it to calm myself down!

Items for Personal Care

Savvy Minerals Poppy Lip Scrub: a gentle exfoliant that conditions and moisturizes the lips for the perfect prep! This works wonders in the winter for dry chapped lips!

YL Lip Balm + Beautycounter Tinted Lip Balm (holiday exclusive): I follow up the lip scrub with one of these lip balms!

Beautycounter Hand Cream: rich, non-greasy hydration that protects hands against winter weather’s drying effects.

I hope you liked seeing what’s in my purse! As always, if you have any questions on anything, please feel free to reach out!

XO,

Kate
