How to Decorate for Fall

Happy fall y’all! Autumn is a favorite season of mine for its cooler temperatures, foliage, routines, and slower weekends. Today, I wanted to show you how to minimally decorate for fall and bring the cozy vibes into your home!

Warm Blankets

First, I love to keep warm blankets close by for when we cuddle up by the fireside and watch movies with the kids, or football on Sundays… and Monday nights, and Thursday nights. Ha! I’m very particular about the material of my blankets! Anyone else? Like, absolutely NO fleece, please! I’m loving chunky knit soft chenille throws right now. You can easily spice up the color palette in your room for autumn by opting for earth tone colors. So warm and cozy!

Fireplace

Next, if you have one, dress up your fireplace mantle! Currently, we have the television mounted above the fireplace, which isn’t my favorite look, but adding little pumpkins makes it cuter! You can play with texture and do a mix of real, raffia, wooden, or plush pumpkins. If you don’t have a mantle, you can add pumpkins to a console table, dining table, or just about anywhere! The “Jets Rule” rope sign is custom made from Custom Coastal Signs.

Diffuser Blends

Speaking of signs, I love this “Let’s Get Cozy” rectangular framed wood sign from PCB Home. Underneath, we always have the lantern diffuser pumping out dreamy fall essential oil blends. The atmosphere in my home literally smells and feels like the most magical fall day! Diffusing essential oils is the best alternative to burning toxic fall candles. With everyone staying home more it is so important that our homes are a place that do good for our bodies – not harm them! Ya feel me?! Greenery

Let’s talk about greenery! Whether you prefer the real deal or faux, I think we can all agree that foliage is the best part of fall! The faux magnolia leaves wreath hangs above our club chair all year long, but on the front doors and dining room hutch, I like to change out the wreaths for the seasons. My favorite places to shop for wreaths are Target and Hobby Lobby! Throughout the house I also have ceramic vases with faux stems. My favorite places to shop for vases and stems are Crate & Barrell and Target! {Links below} If you are entertaining this fall and looking to create a simple tablescape, read my post HERE!

Baking

Lastly, with bountiful fall baking, I love to change out my kitchen towels for the season too! Again, Target is one of my favorite places to shop for these. I love this one with a recipe for homemade apple pie right on it!
