Mairen and Mae are sharing a room now! Today, I’m thrilled to share with you the girl’s bedroom reveal! A complete source list, links to shop, my review of certain products, and before pictures are all below. Enjoy!
Why the girls are sharing a room
If you’ve been following me for any amount of time (or know me in real life), you know that sleep training is my weakness. I’m inconsistent, a total push over, and honestly don’t mind when the girls creep into my bed at night. Ryan, on the other hand, not so much!
For 2020, my New Years resolution was to get both girls sleep-trained (again!) and to stay in their own beds. The process took over a week of sleepless nights, and a lot of crying – but we finally did it! A couple of weeks later… quarantine hit! With all the unknowns, we took comfort in “movie nights” and “sleepovers” in mommy and daddy’s bed. Once again, I let my guard down for what I thought would be “just two weeks”! Ha! Months passed, summer vacation passed, and with the new school year coming up, we decided to have the girls share a room since they were used to sleeping with each other.
Kids Furniture Review
Thankfully, the transition was easy on the budget. Mae was due for an upgrade to a big girl bed anyway, so the only thing we needed to purchase was the bed frame, box spring, mattress, and linens. We bought her the same bed set that we bought for Mairen when she turned three. You know it has got to be good if we bought it twice! We love it for its affordability, quality (it’s stood the test of time with toddlers turned kids), and style! I’d also like to mention that the mattress and box spring are so comfortable and cozy that I’ve fallen asleep in bed with them countless nights! Now if only we could get them to stay in their own beds?!

Everything else was repurposed from Mae’s old bedroom, or was already in the room from Mairen. The dressers, though more expensive pieces, are also great quality! The big knobs are perfect for their little hands to open and close on their own.
