Kate is a licensed Realtor and a life + style blogger who loves making her new house a home, clean living, and raising her three children.

A native of Long Island, New York, Kate attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York where she studied finance and marketing. After graduating, with honors, and a BS in Business Administration she worked in New York City in the mortgage backed securities sector. From there she got her Masters in Childhood and Special Education from St. John’s University. After graduating with a 4.0, she moved to New Jersey with her husband (then fiancé) to teach Special Education. Today, she is a licensed Realtor and blogger at kate down-home.

In her spare time, Kate loves to go to the beach, read historical fiction novels, drink coffee, and ride the Peloton.

A true homebody, you’ll usually find Kate at home cleaning, decorating, or organizing; cooking her family’s favorite meals; or cozied up in front of the fireplace with her husband and children.
